FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

How much is a ceramic coating?

Depends on the size of the vehicle, the condition of the paint when it arrives, and the type of coating. We have options for every budget!

Is it cheaper to ceramic coat my vehicle if it’s brand new?

99% of the time, it’s MUCH less expensive to coat a brand new car. There are some things that can happen during shipping that need correction, and sometimes the wash guy at the dealer will have a dirty wash mitt that leaves swirl marks even before you see your new ride. But usually, it’s much cheaper to have your car coated when it’s new.

How long will a ceramic coating last?

It depends on which one you choose. We have 2yr, 4yr, and 5yr options. All have been proven to last at least the amount of time promised, and longer with proper care.

How does the warranty for a ceramic coating work?

The warranty certification will be given to you upon delivery of your vehicle. The warranty is tied to the VIN number of your automobile, and is fully transferable within the length of the warranty. If you trade in or sell your car, the remaining warranty goes with it. All the new owner has to do is reach out to us and we’ll change the info we have. If there’s an issue with the coating itself, the manufacturer will cover all expenses to fix the issue. If there is an issue due to the application, we’ll take care of it at no cost to you.

What kind of ceramic coatings do you use?

We use Jade Quartz, made by Puris. They’ve been a leader in automotive applications of ceramic coating for nearly a decade, and are wonderful to work with!

How do I take care of my ceramic coating?

It’s pretty simple: touchless carwashes are the way to go, along with handwashing your car. You’ll be amazed how easy it is to wash your vehicle, and how fast it dries. We dry ours with a leaf blower, and it takes about 3-5 minutes! Use soap formulated for washing cars, and if you are unsure about those, ask us and we’ll make sure you have what you need. Bring it in to us once a year for inspection, and we’ll make sure you’re taken care of.

How long will a ceramic coating last? Is a ceramic coating scratch proof?

We get asked this a lot. And the answer is no, not scratch proof, but VERY scratch resistant. If a rock hits your bumper, it’s going to leave a mark. Ceramic coatings protect against the elements and environment, and normal wear and tear. But not against angry exes and their sharpest key.

Should I choose ceramic coating or PPF?

That is 100% a personal choice. Both great products, both hold up, and both have been proven to work. We’ve even seen quite a few cars that have both. PPF does a wonderful job of protecting all the leading edges of the car from anything coming at it head on. Front bumper, hood, mirrors, front quarter panels..all great spots for PPF. It takes a lot of abuse. But wrapping an entire car with PPF is unbelievably expensive, and it has to be steamed off and discarded every 3-4 years once it starts to dry up from UV damage, age, and wear and tear. Ceramic protects in a totally different way, and you never have to remove it with proper upkeep.

How are your products different than a ceramic coating product on the shelf at an auto parts store?

The “ceramic” products you see in stores have ceramic qualities and maybe some polymers, but they’re not true ceramic coatings, nor should they be expected to protect like one. These are usually an already existing product, with the “ceramic” chemical added into the formula. Don’t fall for this..a true coating takes a true professional to be done correctly, and to get the desired result. There are no shortcuts. NONE.

How long does a ceramic coating take?

Usually we’ll have your car for one day if you purchase a 2yr coating, and if you get a 4 or 5 year coating, we’ll keep it for two days to make sure it’s cured. It has to be kept dry for 24hrs to ensure adhesion and cure time. If you decide to leave with your vehicle before that time period has passed, we WILL NOT warranty your coating.
